Thanks for the follow-up, this is helping me a lot. When I slide any SD card in, the light comes on for 1 second and then comes off. The previous owner said he never used the SD card slot. Is there a folder that begins with sdbus? This is a used Toshiba laptop I got a month ago.
Sd card slot not working on my laptop how to#
It's possible an update borked the SD Host Controller but I don't know how to repair it if it's gone missing.Įdit: Can you provide the support site link for the card reader driver you downloaded?Įdit Edit: Browse to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository If you have the Card Reader under Disk Drives and it does not have a yellow exclamation mark next to it I'm not sure what the problem is. Moved from W10 Spt to Internal Hardware - Hamluis. I don't know how else to try and fix the issue.
I've tried updating the SD card reader driver through ASUS' official website, I've tried several versions of the driver, etc. They used to work on my laptop a few months ago, and I didn't operate any major changes to the laptop apart from mandatory Windows updates. I don't think the SD cards are the problem as they're working on my camera with no issues. It's not recognising my SD card and I've tried another SD card, with no luck. Go to Device manager, expand Universal serial Bus Controllers, right click USB Root Hub and select Properties, go to Driver. However it seems that my integrated SD card reader suddenly stopped working - I'm using it for my photography work. Ive restarted after installing the latest card reader version (3.21299) for my Aspire E15-575, but my SD card still wont show up on my drive list. I have an ASUS laptop (ZenBook UX430U) under Windows 10 (64-bit) and it's been working great so far, fabulous laptop.
(for the mods: I suspect it's a driver issue linked to a Windows 10 update, however I'm sorry in advance if you think I'm posting this in the wrong category.)
